This release offers a new feature allowing developers to further connect the users of a store and reduce the need for outside communication via email or telephone. Through adding small code pieces, either in services or triggers, the developer can notify a computed set of store users (the audience) of a certain event in the store in natural language. [7593, Notifications] are multilingual and can be recomputed to improve wording or correct a typo since their creation context is persisted. They expire after a configurable time period, by default two weeks. Users access their notifications by clicking a symbol in the store header. The panel slides in from the top. Topincs 8.0.0 SEO & I18N 2017-04-20 major

This is the first major Topincs release in 4 years. It is also the first one which is not downloadable and available online only. This release revolves around *internationalization and SEO optimization*. Topincs allows service resources now to be called by a language specific name in the URL. This applies to the path only and does not affect the names of parameters. The main objective here was to avoid any form of obvious lang declaraion in the URL as long as possible, in particular for URLs that will be marketed and sitemaps of multilingual stores. It is best illustrated by example. When accessing [https://www.topincs.com/tour, https://www.topincs.com/tour] the Topincs web page is browsed in English. All web addresses are English. When accessing [https://www.topincs.com/rundgang, https://www.topincs.com/rundgang], it is browsed in German. All web addresses are German. In addition these enhancements and changes are important to mention: * When viewing photos there is a [5896, magnification function] available, which allows the control of the zoom level by using the mouse wheel. * In the form the select box for counter player selection can be turned in to a [5617, radio control], if the maximum cardinality of the respective topic role constraint is exactly one. This comes in useful when every action counts, as you only need to touch the radio control once and the select box twice. For users who have to do this 100 times a day, it saves a lot of time. * On subject pages an optional section for [6250, social functions] can be added a simple declaration on the topic type. * A user group can be declared read-only. By default user groups are granted rights to create instances of all topic types and change instances. Declaring them read only changes that and puts them in the same position as the unauthenticated users. * In conncetion to the last bullet point, a [6839, rights overview] was created of what user groups are allowed to do with topic types. This overview is gained by evaluating the access and is thus very reliable. * The font icons were replaced by [6817, SVG icons]. This has a number of advantages but is the finally the acknowledgement that SVG has arrived in the mainstream web world – a moment that i have been waiting for since 2002. There is numerous other issues resolved in Topincs 8.0.0.
