Description
*Curriculum Vitae:*
During his course of study (computer science major) at Johann-Wolfang-Goethe-University Frankfurt/Main (1991/92,1993-2001), Mr. Ueberall worked on distributed applications (with an emphasis on information retrieval). In his diploma thesis [1], he took a (first) close look at the semantic zooming paradigm.
Following the completion of his degree (in 12/2001), he worked as scientific assistant at the local ABVS/telematics chair, participating in the third party funded project "ELAN" (E-Learning in mobile Ad-hoc Networks) within phase one of the German Research Foundation's Priority Programme no.1140 [2]. Here, he focused on the analysis of the requirements of modular (constructivist) e-learning applications in P2P networks and modelling of so-called "learning units" and began 'experimenting' with topic maps (06/2002-06/2004).
His current employment (08/2004-) as consultant/programmer in the financial services sector provides insight into miscellaneous, very complex workflows--for the benefit of the ongoing work on his dissertation, which focuses on supporting the management of information flows between all phases of software development (using Topic Maps).
[1] diploma thesis title (07/2001): "Ein adaptives, hierarchisch organisiertes, verteiltes Navigationssystem zur inhaltsbasierten Dokumentensuche" (roughly translates to: "an adaptive, hierarchically organised, distributed navigation system for content-based document search")
